A very fascinating study shows that higher amounts of purpose in life correlate with lower interleukin-6 (= pro-inflammatory cytokine) levels. In addition it reveals that educational degrees stop playing a relevant role as soon as a certain amount of purpose in life is reached.
What’s your purpose in life?

Serve in the Philippines!
AMEN is returning to the Philippines from May 4-20, 2014 to provide follow-up physical and spiritual care to typhoon victims. We’re still recruiting medical, dental, and other volunteers (for all or part of the trip)! We could especially use dental professionals, a surgeon, and an anesthesiologist.
Our first trip was two weeks after the typhoon last November. God blessed tremendously. After serving the community of Dulag for one week, AMEN hired two Bible workers to continue ministering there. They now have over 100 Bible study contacts, have started Sabbath meetings at a rented facility, and are planning a prophecy series for the end of this month. We will celebrate with a baptism on May 10, during our trip.
We’d love to have your help. To volunteer, donate, or learn more, visit: http://amensda.org/mission/info/philippines-continued-relief-effort or contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for a more detailed itinerary.
Thanks for your prayers and support!
Executive Director, AMEN
